Email or call if your question is not answered below. Our goal is to respond within 24 hours, but please be patient. There is continuously a lot of volunteer work that goes on behind the scene!
Cats: 1 year and older are $50.
Kittens: 6 months - 1 year old $75
Kittens: Under 6 months old $100 | If adopting a buddy then the 2nd kitty is half the fee!
Dogs: 10 years old and older $200
Dogs: 5 to 9 years old $300-$400
Dogs: 1 to 4 years old $400
Puppies: 6 months to under 1 year old $500 | Under 6 months old $600
Note that included in the price of adoption is vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, heart worm test and monthly prevention during fostering. Also for kittens & cats combo/snap test.
***If we do not know exact DOB, we rely on our veterinarian's estimate on age.
The length of the process can vary, as a lot depends on the current workload of our volunteers, but the approval process will typically take 2-4 days. Someone will be in contact with you along the process. If your application is approved, the home visit will be scheduled and finalizing the adoption may take place at the same time, depending on the animal. If your application is denied, we will let you know. We ask that you respect our decision, as we are looking for the best fit for our foster animals!
Glad you asked! There are many ways you can help:
- One of our biggest expenses is veterinary care. Many animals that come into rescue have a medical issue, need to be spayed, neutered and vaccinated. It can be costly. Most often, we don't know up front if there is a medical concern. Once we have the animal in our care, it is our responsibility to do the best we can for each animal that joins our pack. Please consider a direct donation!
- Foster homes can always use help with food, cat litter, and other necessary supplies. We keep our Amazon wish list updated with what our foster homes need.
- We can always use extra hands when we hold events. Just request a volunteer application.
- Write a Facebook review about an AOL volunteer or an AOL animal that you adopted
- Share, link, or comment on our social media posts. Social media engagement is priceless!
- We believe everyone can do something. If everyone does a little bit, it amazingly adds up! If you would like to help in a way not listed above, reach out. We are open to new ideas!
